IO复用之select函数
介绍
select 是Linux下IO多路复用的一种方式。IO多路复用是指内核一旦发现进程指定的一个或者多个IO条件准备读取,它就通知该进程。
select目前几乎在所有的平台上支持,其良好跨平台支持也是它的一个优点。select的一个缺点在于单个进程能够监视的文件描述符的数量存在最大限制,在Linux上一般为1024。select 函数的另一个缺点是效率低,每次select函数返回都需要遍历描述符集合,找到就绪的那个文件描述符。
select 函数监视的文件描述符分3类,分别是writefds、readfds、和exceptfds。调用后select函数会阻塞,直到有描述符就绪(有数据 可读、可写、或者有except),或者超时(timeout指定等待时间,如果立即返回设为null即可),函数返回。当select函数返回后,可以通过遍历fdset,来找到就绪的描述符。
函数说明
int select(int maxfd,fd_set *rdset,fd_set *wrset,fd_set *exset,struct timeval timeout);
参数说明:maxfd是需要监视的最大的文件描述符值+1;rdset,wrset,exset分别对应于需要检测的可读文件描述符的集合,可写文件描述符的集合及异常文件描述符的集合;struct timeval结构用于描述一段时间长度,如果在这个时间内,需要监视的描述符没有事件发生则函数返回,返回值为0。
fd_set是一组文件描述字的集合,它用一位来表示一个fd,是一种位示图的数据结构。对于fd_set类型通过下面四个宏来操作:

返回值:返回对应位仍然为1的fd的总数。注意啦:只有那些可读,可写以及有异常条件待处理的fd位仍然为1。
注意:作为参数传入的fd_set会被修改,就绪的被置1,未就绪的被置0。所以在传入到select之前,之后备份一下,方便下次循环的时候继续传入。
